RAS187 is a Baltimore-born rapper, songwriter, and independent creator whose music has always been rooted in real life.

Hip-hop became part of his story long before there was a website, streaming numbers, or a reason to think about algorithms. He started writing and recording young, driven by the same dream that pulls countless kids toward a microphone—the possibility that maybe these words could become something bigger. Life eventually had other plans, but the music never really left.

Years later, RAS187 creates from a different place.

There’s no character to maintain and no need to pretend the last twenty years didn’t happen. The music carries all of it: fatherhood, relationships, mistakes, loyalty, loss, ambition, humor, frustration, growth, and the perspective that comes from having enough life behind you to finally understand some of the things you were writing about when you were younger.

Musically, that means there isn’t one neat box. Gritty East Coast records can sit beside soulful introspection, storytelling, relationship songs, or something made simply because it sounded dope. The common thread is honesty. If it happened, hurt, mattered, made him laugh, kept him awake, or gave him something to say, it can become a record.

And RAS187 has grown beyond the microphone. Music remains at the center, but it's now part of a much bigger creative world that includes visual art, storytelling, games, characters, and independent projects built simply for the love of making something that didn't exist before.

At this point, there’s no finish line being chased.

The kid who wanted to make something out of his music grew into a man who realized he never actually needed permission to keep creating.
